The Tong Tong Fair was established since 1959 in The Hague, The Netherlands, it’s a celebration of Indo-Dutch culture, particularly focusing on the heritage of the Indo Dutch or Indische Nederlanders community in the country. The fair features a vibrant mix of Indonesian food, traditional music, dance performances, arts, and crafts. It serves as a platform for cultural exchange, allowing visitors to experience the rich history and traditions of the former Dutch East Indies and Indonesia while fostering community connections among people of Indonesian descent and the broader Dutch population. The event typically includes various activities, workshops, and exhibitions, making it a lively and educational experience for all attendees. In 2024 the TTF filed for bankruptcy and this year Pasar Malam Istimewa XL started of their first edition in Rotterdam.
